Neni Munich is the in-house restaurant of 25 Hours Hotel The Royal Bavarian, a part of the restaurant chain owned by Israeli restaurateur Haya Molcho. The Boilerman Bar is the in-house bar with a speakeasy vibe. It is , a smart yet casual space that is very, very popular among Munich’s denizens.
The most popular cocktails at The Boilerman Bar are the highballs: precisely mixed concoctions that are “shaken, not stirred”. Neni Munich is where guests are served the daily buffet breakfast and can be found in the basement. There’s a separate entrance for patrons who aren’t staying in the hotel.
Breakfast at Neni Munich
Neni Munich serves a very unique brand of oriental cuisine in a setting that is not flashy but rather, inconspicuous enough to let you be your own person, yet memorable enough to create an impression. The lighting borders on dim, and food is served directly in pots or on a piece of parchment.
We were there for breakfast on a Sunday morning, and the restaurant was understandably crowded. Still, we managed to find a table near the orangery. A friendly waitress came over to take our order of omelettes and cappuccino. Then, it was time to take a round of the buffet and see what was on offer.
We saw fresh yogurt, quark, fruits, dry fruits, nuts, and seeds on offer – perfect for the healthy eaters. A variety of cheeses were laid out next to them, including super delicious goat cheese. Enormous croissants, different kinds of breads, sausages and wurst, salad, and scrambled eggs were also available.
But the best part of the buffet was undoubtedly the juice and wine counter – beautiful white and sparkling wines, as also orange and grapefruit juice promised an excellent start to the day. A beautiful tapestry hung above the tea station next to it. We thoroughly enjoyed our piping hot French omelettes with vegetables.

Drinks at The Boilerman Bar
The Boilerman Bar is a place where you can definitely socialize, with patrons talking animatedly at every table. The potent highballs are complete crowd pleasers (we can certainly recommend the Bourbon Highball and Philadelphia Scotchman), but the menu does feature some classics, wine, and beer as well. The gin collection is also sizable.
The Boilerman Bar is definitely not stuffy and the crowd is on the younger side. Make sure you don’t dress very fancily. Hotel guests often make it to the bar in complete casuals. If you don’t find a table inside the bar, you can sit outside in the library or walk further down the corridor to The Muschelkammer (Conch Room).

We really liked the elegant decor of The Boilerman Bar, dominated by deep red, light gold, and soft white. The cozy space by the window is usually the first to be occupied by guests!
